Punjab police report over heinous incident of a minor Zainab, who was killed after rape near India-Pakistan border town Kasur on January 04, seems to be eyewash as police have failed to apprehend the culprit behind the crime so far. Submitting report in pursuance of the Supreme Court's directives on Thursday, the provincial police chief said that hectic efforts are being made to ensure early tracing of the accused.

Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar has taken suo motu notice over the incident and ordered Punjab police to submit report within 24 hours. A copy of the report available with Business Recorder revealed that autopsy report of the minor contains crucial details of the condition of her body.
